Update for members – Covid rules

Auckland is now back to Alert Level 3:

  • Businesses can operate but with very few exceptions (eg supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations) must be contactless, and staff must not physically interact with customers, suppliers
  • Freight deliveries are allowed
  • Physical distancing must apply in workplaces
  • Businesses should display a QR code poster (you can create one here)
  • Working from home is encouraged
  • Mask use is encouraged – businesses are advised to obtain masks for staff if they wish to operate
  • Gatherings of up to 10 people allowed only for weddings, funerals and tangihanga
  • Public venues closed

The rest of NZ is back to Alert Level 2:

  • Businesses can operate
  • Businesses can open to the public, with physical distancing & record keeping
  • Freight deliveries are allowed
  • Businesses should display a QR code poster (you can create one here)
  • Hospitality businesses must keep groups of customers separated, seated & served by a single person.
  • Maximum of 100 people at a time in a defined space.
  • Public venues can open, with physical distancing & record keeping
  • (Businesses should prepare for a possible future move to level 3, e.g. by obtaining masks and PPE for staff, and testing their ability to send and receive goods contactlessly)
