Infrastructure pipeline needs to work for New Zealand

BusinessNZhas welcomed the trans-Tasman infrastructure pipeline launched in Sydney today,saying it will assist with attracting investors, suppliers and developers ofinfrastructure to Australia and New Zealand.

TheAustralia New Zealand Infrastructure Pipeline (ANZIP) contains over a hundredlarge current and future infrastructure projects in both countries thatAustralian and New Zealand companies will be able to work on.

BusinessNZChief Executive Kirk Hope says the value of the approach lies in thetransparency of upcoming projects within the pipeline, allowing for better involvementand planning by construction companies across Australia and New Zealand.

“Atrans-Tasman approach should help companies in both countries gain and growinvestment and work in a more integrated way.

“Itwill be important that the agreement is backed up by measures that will see NewZealand businesses gain fair access to Australian opportunities.

“Theobjective should be to grow the pie for construction work for both Australianand New Zealand businesses.”µ?Ǐ}�
