Going Global – key to New Zealand’s future

With the future of New Zealand’s economy dependant on export success, ExportNZ is holding a must-attend international business forum for New Zealand firms, Go Global, at Auckland’s SKYCITY Convention Centre on 27 October.

Go Global will be a practical high level experience, bringing together Government ministers and officials (including Hon Gerry Brownlee, John Allen and new NZTE CEO Peter Chrisp), export leaders (including Andrew Ferrier and David Mahon) and Kiwi businesses in an interactive, constructive environment.

Top guns from Kiwi success stories Comvita, Glidepath, Xero and Trilogy will be sharing their tips for going global and growing internationally.

Industrial Research Ltd will be showing how cutting edge ideas can be turned into commercial realities.

Phil O’Reilly, Chief Executive of ExportNZ (a division of BusinessNZ) says exporting is the most important thing for New Zealand firms to aspire to.

“We’re a tiny country of 4 million. It’s vital we look beyond our shores in order to grow our economy in the global market.”

Catherine Beard, Executive Director of ExportNZ says everyone attending Go Global will be taking home something money can’t buy.

“Nothing beats real life experience in the international markets. Our speakers will be contributing priceless lessons from their years of experience to help firms to turbo-charge their businesses.”

The day-long forum will also include regional update workshops covering Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East and South American regions, along with MFAT and BNZ panel discussions.
