BusinessNZ is committed to providing equal opportunities as part of an inclusive and diverse place to work. As part of this journey, BusinessNZ last investigated pay by gender in October 2026. Following changes in personnel, the below is reflective of current staffing.
- Our workforce is weighted 61% women and 39% men.
- The Median pay is now weighted 9.2% towards women, compared to being weighted 6.6% towards woman at last measurement.
- The Average salary pay gap is now weighted 1.9% towards woman, an improvement on the 1.1% pay gap weighted towards men in February 2026.
These are compared to the industry median 12.3% pay gap (Ministry of Women website June 2026) and national average pay gap of 5.3% (Stats NZ June 2026).
