International Business Forum a force for growth

Business NZ today welcomed the launch of the New Zealand International Business Forum.

The International Business Forum brings together the country’s largest exporters and business groups to provide a united voice on trade issues and to strengthen New Zealand’s position in overseas markets.

“Few things are more important to New Zealand’s standard of living than international trade,” says Business NZ Chief Executive Phil O’Reilly.

“Trade allows New Zealand firms to grow, innovate and employ more people.

“New Zealand’s exporters have performed heroically in recent years, bringing in record revenues despite a high dollar and other barriers.

“But we all know that more could be done to further integrate New Zealand into global markets and to grow the country’s wealth.

“The International Business Forum brings the powerhouses of the New Zealand economy together to forge a vision for New Zealand’s international trade and to make that vision a reality.

“Business NZ is proud to be part of the Forum and looks forward to doing our bit to make New Zealand a world-beating global trader.”
